A new destination is opening to Canadians as Flair launches the first flight to Guanajuato International Airport (BJX) from a Canadian gateway. Travellers will be able to fly directly to the city of Guanajuato from Vancouver International (YVR), located in the Bajío region, which sits east of Jalisco state.
“Welcoming BJX into our network marks the first-ever direct connection between the Bajío region and Canada,” said Len Corrado, CEO of Flair Airlines. “We’re making it easier for customers to discover this vibrant region with travel that is reliable, easy, and affordable, and built for memorable moments.”
The new service launches October 3, with fares starting at $189 and weekly flights operating from that date.
“We are very excited to launch this new connection between Vancouver, Canada, and the Bajío region. We are bringing more of Guanajuato to the world, a destination with a unique identity, rich cultural heritage, and a high-value tourism offering,” said Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, the Governor of Guanajuato. “This route not only makes new experiences more accessible but also helps strengthen the ties between our communities and create more opportunities for our people.”
“We are confident that this new connection will be highly successful and will contribute to both tourism and business travel. We extend a warm welcome to Flair Airlines to this airport, and to visitors from Vancouver, we reiterate that we are ready to receive you with the quality and warmth in service that distinguishes us,” said Paola Olivo Moreno, Director of Guanajuato International Airport.
