Six months after launching its Flair FWD initiative, Flair Airlines has announced a series of upgrades designed to improve the passenger experience while maintaining its low-cost model.

“Since launching Flair FWD, our teams have been hard at work, listening to our customers, reviewing our policies, and investing in delivering a better travel experience,” said Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines.

“The work is not over with today’s announcement. If anything, the work is just beginning.”

Flair said it has already implemented several improvements, including a redesigned website built on AWS technology, digital boarding passes for all passengers, and more transparent communication about delays.

The airline also launched an On-Time Guarantee, offering a $60 e-voucher to customers if their flight is delayed by an hour or more, and introduced Apple AirTag tracking for baggage.

Among the upcoming initiatives is Flair Express, which will allow customers who purchase a carry-on bag to board first through a dedicated line.

The program launches systemwide on December 3.

Flair also plans to roll out new fare bundles—Basic, Lite, Plus, and Max—offering more flexibility and choice for travelers. In December, the airline will debut a partnership with Fairlyne, becoming the first in North America to offer ticket resale options, allowing passengers to sell back their seats on popular routes.

Additionally, Flair will introduce Flair Vacations, a new platform developed with HBX that combines flights and hotels for packages to destinations including Mexico City and Montego Bay.

“We’ve always been a value carrier, but value is about more than price; it’s also a feeling,” said Eric Tanner, CCO.

“We aim to show Canadians everywhere that Flair is different than what it once was. New Flair is reliable, transparent, and customer centric.”

The airline is celebrating its brand with Flair FWD: An Exhibition in Art & Flight, running October 18–31 at Toronto’s Twist Gallery. The exhibit features works by National Geographic Explorer and photographer Mackenzie Calle.

Flair Airlines operates a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft serving 25 destinations across Canada, the U.S., Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica.
