Flair Airlines announced Puerto Plata will be added to its winter schedule, with new nonstop flights from both Toronto and Montréal beginning in December.

The Dominican Republic destination is new to Flair’s network and will be served from Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) beginning Dec. 18, 2026, and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) starting Dec. 19.

Montréal-Puerto Plata service will operate twice weekly, while Toronto-Puerto Plata flights will operate up to twice weekly.

“Puerto Plata is a brand-new destination for Flair and one we’re excited to bring to travellers in both Québec and Ontario this winter,” said Len Corrado, CEO, Flair Airlines.

“Canadians want more choice when they travel, and these new routes give them another nonstop option to the sun at a great value.”

Starting one-way fares are listed at $279 CAD from Montréal and $249 CAD from Toronto. Schedules are subject to change.

Located on the Dominican Republic’s north coast, Puerto Plata is home to a mix of beach resorts, historic sites and outdoor activities, including experiences in the region’s mountainous interior.

Montréal Gets More Winter Sun Service

The Puerto Plata launch comes as Flair adds winter capacity from Montréal.

Beginning Dec. 16, the airline will also introduce weekly nonstop service between Montréal and Puerto Vallarta (PVR), with one-way fares starting at $269 CAD. Montréal will become Flair’s fifth Canadian departure point serving the Mexican Pacific destination.

The Puerto Plata routes will be available as air-only bookings as well as through Flair Vacations, which is heading into its first winter season.

“Adding Puerto Plata gives Canadians another great option for an affordable winter escape as Flair Vacations heads into its first winter season,” said Nicole Bursey, President, Flair Vacations.

“With nonstop service from both Montréal and Toronto, travellers can package their Flair flight with a hotel and build a vacation that works for their budget.”
