American Airlines Appoints Paola Torri Director of Ops for Canada and Mexico

American Airlines has created a new leadership role recognizing the importance of its two biggest international markets: Canada and Mexico. The new Director of Operations for Canada and Mexico role will be filled by American Airlines veteran, Paola Torri.

“I’m honoured to step into this new role and continue building on the strong foundation our teams have established across Mexico and Canada,” says Torri. “Throughout my career at American, I’ve seen first-hand the dedication and talent of our people, and I look forward to working alongside them to further strengthen our operation, improve reliability and deliver the exceptional service our customers expect.”

Torri has worked with American for more than 25 years, most recently as People Business Partner for International, supporting teams across Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean and the United States. 

The role reports to José A. Freig, Vice President of International and Inflight Dining Operations. Torri is presently based in Mexico City, where she will remain in her new role.
