Air Transat Expands Codeshare with Turkish Airlines to Dubai

Air Transat and Turkish Airlines are expanding their codeshare agreement, adding a new route to carry a Transat code. When the two airlines began their codeshare agreement last December, it only covered select flights between Istanbul and the Canadian gateways for Turkish Airlines: Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. It has now expanded to cover flights from iGA Istanbul Airport (IST) to Dubai (DBX). 

At the time the codeshare agreement commenced, Air Transat expressed pride at partnering with Turkish Airlines to offer clients “ seamless access to one of the world’s most extensive networks.” Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat stated, “This collaboration not only reconnects our travellers with Istanbul but also opens the door to vibrant destinations throughout Türkiye, Asia, and beyond.” 

Earlier this week, Air Transat also received approval from the Canadian Transportation Agency for licenses to operate, (through codesharing,) scheduled international service to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
