Air Canada seems to have quietly cancelled its planned seasonal nonstop flights between Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA) for the upcoming summer travel season, according to industry reporting by Simple Flying.

The change comes without a formal announcement from the airline and just two months before the service was scheduled to resume.

The Montréal–Seattle flights traditionally operate only in the summer. However, as of mid-February schedules, the flights no longer appear in Air Canada’s booking system, a development first flagged by aviation observers.

Industry watchers say this removal amounts to a cancellation of the seasonal service, despite the absence of notice on Air Canada’s official channels.

The decision reflects a broader recalibration of North American airline networks, with several carriers trimming transborder routes amid shifting demand patterns.

In recent months, Canadian airlines have pared back flights to secondary U.S. markets, while others reassess their U.S. schedules in the face of softer demand for cross-border leisure and business travel.

For passengers who had anticipated flying the YUL–SEA route this summer, options may now require connections through other hubs, or alternate carriers.
