Air Canada Drops Guadalajara Route, Adds Second Guatemala City Flight

Air Canada has made some tweaks to its southern routes in the upcoming months. Starting this winter, the flag carrier will begin operating between Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Guatemala City (GUA). The flight commences Dec. 1, 2026 and will operate weekly throughout the year. This is the second route into Guatemala for Air Canada, joining the existing Montreal-Trudeau (YUL) route. 

Aviation news site AeroRoutes is reporting the cessation of Air Canada’s Montreal-Guadalajara route for summer 2027. AeroRoutes states that the airline had previously filed a default schedule with the route listed three times weekly, beginning June 1, 2027. An updated schedule has since been filed, and no longer includes the route.
