TravelBrands is now offering full refunds on vacation packages without relying on external assistance, while also protecting agent commission.
"Trust is paramount in any industry, especially the travel industry, and we saw an opportunity to do more," says Frank DeMarinis, President & CEO, TravelBrands. "Our team worked relentlessly behind the scenes to deliver a meaningful action plan that would positively impact the travel agent community and their clients. We will continue to redefine industry norms to renew confidence in the incredible travel experiences that are ahead of us."
What's perhaps most impressive is that this new policy will be implemented without government funding, and all agency commissions remain protected. TravelBrands continues to stand for, and with, its people to serve the advancement of the industry.
The refund policy will include all Air & Hotel bookings, including TravelGenie, Sunquest, and Exotik Journeys packages that have flights with Air Canada or Transat. If a refund cannot be secured on a land portion, a future travel voucher will still be applicable. Coverage dates include travel on or after February 1, 2020, and new bookings as of June 1, 2021, going forward.
This forward-thinking response to changes in the travel industry is a reassuring step towards the promising future ahead.
