Travel advisors looking to boost their Jamaica expertise can now dive into one of the island’s most iconic destinations: Montego Bay. The Jamaica Travel Specialist Program, also known as the One Love Rewards Program, is open for enrollment and offers training chapters that allow advisors to explore different regions of the island in depth while also earning rewards.

Montego Bay, located on Jamaica’s northern coast, is one of the country’s most visited and activity-packed destinations since the late 1800s. With Sangster International Airport and a major cruise port within its borders, Montego Bay is constantly greeting travelers. This area is a gateway that blends white-sand beaches with historic charm, various adventures and a lively culture.

In the One Love Rewards Program’s Montego Bay chapter, advisors learn about the area’s top resorts, such as Half Moon, Round Hill, The Tryall Club, Sandals, Iberostar and Hilton Rose Hall, as well as a range of accommodations from luxury villas to budget-friendly guesthouses.

Montego Bay has a variety of activities for every type of traveller. Nature lovers can visit Glistening Waters, a glowing bioluminescent lagoon or enjoy bamboo rafting down the Martha Brae River. Bird enthusiasts can hand-feed hummingbirds at the Rocklands Bird Feeding Station, while families with children can explore the Animal Farm’s walk-in aviary and herb gardens. For those seeking even more thrill, ziplining, off-road adventures, river tubing and horseback riding through the surf are all options.

In addition, few visitors leave without exploring the shopping, dining and party centre known as the Hip Strip, which has become a playground for visiting celebrities. Here, visitors can hangout in Margaritaville, Pier One and Rum Jungle Cafe & Bar.

History is also a big factor in Montego Bay. Sam Sharpe Square honors the national hero who helped lead the Christmas Rebellion of 1831. Nearby, several great houses are open to the public, where travelers can learn about the tales of Jamaica’s plantation past and liberation era. Additionally, just 22 miles east of Montego Bay, lies the historic town of Falmouth, once a top sugar and rum exporter and now a revitalized cruise port with rich Georgian architecture.

Advisors who complete the One Love Rewards Program will gain deep destination insight on all areas of Jamaica, including the popular Montego Bay.

Register now to unlock rewards like cash incentives, reward points, special discounts and promotions.
