The Travel Industry Council of Ontario's (TICO's) Board of Directors has approved 26 claims against the Ontario Travel Compensation Fund totalling $70,056.
The funds will be paid to assist 46 consumers who did not receive the travel services for which they had paid.
The largest payout was for claims against Sunmed Holidays Inc. Sixteen claims representing 34 consumers were approved, with a total of $61,271.
There were five claims approved regarding Fly Jamaica Airways, for a total of $4,737 and another five tied to Jet Airways, totalling $4,049.
