TravelPulse Canada experienced one of G Adventures' "Random Acts of G" Tuesday night in Toronto with a small group of travel agents the company took to see the hit show Rock of Ages.
"Tonight was just another example of the things we do to engage and celebrate our agents," explained David Green, Managing Director, G Adventures Canada. "Random Acts of G is something we've been doing internally for a long time to recognize the hard work of our employees. I come from the travel agency side, so I'm a huge fan of our travel agents, they work so hard. Plus, it's fun."
Agents Wendy, Sanja, Cindy, Collette, Sonia and Michelle agreed - when asked if they were having a great time, all spontaneously and humorously replied, they were "having a rockin' time."
The company does a lot to celebrate their agents; G-Normous, their annual incentive program that gives agents the chance to win with every trip they book, is on now. Then there's Change Makers, which returns for the first time in three years. Agents will be able to earn their way to the global summit - to be held from September 22-28, 2023, in an exciting, yet-to-be-revealed destination - by choosing to change people's lives through travel.
"ChangeMakers is an incentive to show how we present our sustainability and community tourism aspect," says Nuppy Mistry, GPS (BDM) for Ontario. "It's not based on revenue, but on the number of passengers an agent sends. And I can tell you from my own experience, the trips are life-changing."
G Adventures also just relaunched its operations in Peru at the beginning of this month, helping to support the local communities and businesses in Peru that depend on tourism for income as quickly as possible post-pandemic.
