Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Cruises & Tours have announced their 2026 and 2027 holiday river cruise itineraries in Europe, with sailings focused on Christmas markets and seasonal traditions.
The itineraries visit destinations including Cologne, Vienna and Strasbourg, where travelers can explore Christmas markets and experience local food and holiday traditions.
Emerald’s holiday offerings include an eight-day sailing from Amsterdam to Basel and an eight-day itinerary from Munich to Budapest. Scenic will offer a 15-day sailing from Budapest to Amsterdam and an eight-day itinerary from Zurich to Amsterdam.

Travelers are increasingly seeking experiential trips, according to Robert Castro, vice president of marketing for Scenic Group USA & LATAM.
