Travel industry veteran Elvi Cal has joined Snowbird Advisor as Director of Travel Partnerships in a consulting capacity.
In the new role, Cal will oversee partnerships with destination marketing organizations (DMOs), tourist boards, airlines, cruise lines, tour operators and other travel providers looking to connect with Canada's growing snowbird market.
"We are thrilled to have Elvi join the Snowbird Advisor team to oversee and grow our travel partnerships program," said Stephen Fine, President and Founder, Snowbird Advisor.
"His decades of experience and expertise working with DMOs, tourist boards and other travel providers will be a tremendous asset to our organization."

According to Snowbird Advisor, the Canadian snowbird market now exceeds one million people and continues to grow. The organization says more Canadians are embracing remote work and phased retirement, allowing them to spend longer periods in warmer destinations during the winter.
The company also noted changing travel patterns among snowbirds, with more travellers venturing beyond traditional North American destinations or splitting their winter stays between multiple destinations.
Cal brings nearly four decades of experience to the position. He spent the past 38 years with TravelBrands and related companies, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Product and Commercial, where he led product and commercial teams focused on growth, profitability and strategic partnerships with tourist boards and hotel partners.
The appointment follows the retirement of Randy Anger, who previously served as Director of Travel Partnerships.
"I would also like to express my gratitude to Randy Anger, our previous Director of Travel Partnerships at Snowbird Advisor, who is retiring in July," said Fine. "Randy did a fantastic job of launching and growing our successful travel partnership program. We will be forever grateful for his contributions and wish him all the best in his retirement."
Snowbird Advisor has more than 100,000 members and provides information, resources and services for Canadians who spend part of the winter abroad. Its sister company, Snowbird Advisor Insurance, offers travel insurance products for snowbirds, boomers and seniors.
