TravelPulse Canada is starting the new year with new leadership in both sales and editorial.
Two of our Northstar leaders, Ken Shapiro and Maura Lee-Byrne, who have been actively working on the brand, have taken over leadership for TravelPulse Canada.
John Kirk, Editor in Chief, has decided to step away from the business. He will be leaving effective the end of this week. We are grateful to John for his leadership, his industry presence and his passion for the brand. Also leaving the TravelPulse Canada team will be editorial members Marsha Mowers and Bruce Parkinson. Thank you to both Marsha and Bruce for their consistent editorial voices and presence in the market. We wish them all the best on their next chapters. We look forward to a very bright future for TravelPulse Canada.
Ken Shapiro, Vice President and Editorial Director within Northstar Travel Group, officially expands his Editorial Director role over all of the TravelPulse brands, including TravelPulse, TravelPulse Canada and AGENTatHOME, in addition to the TravelAge West editorial. Ken has already developed a Canada-based pool of editorial contributors and he will work with TravelPulse Executive Editor Eric Bowman and team on the TravelPulse Canada editorial product moving forward. Catherine Maisonneuve will continue to provide the French content for TravelPulse Quebec. Additional Canadian-based contributors include Jen Mallia, Debbie Olsen, Wendy Helfenbaum and Theresa Storm.
Maura Lee-Byrne, SVP and Group Publisher within Northstar Travel Group, who has managed the TravelPulse Canada sales along with her leadership responsibilities for TravelPulse, AGENTatHOME and our education programs, will take over full responsibility for the sales growth and development for TravelPulse Canada working with the retail group sales team to build and execute the TravelPulse website, newsletter and custom content.
