Turtle Beach, Barbados, A Tribute Portfolio All-Inclusive Resort, has officially opened on the island's South Coast, becoming the latest addition to Marriott International's growing all-inclusive portfolio in the Caribbean.

The beachfront resort marks another milestone in Marriott's expansion in Barbados following the opening of Crystal Cove earlier this year. A third property, Tamarind, which will join the Autograph Collection, is expected to open later this summer.

“With the opening of Turtle Beach, we are reaffirming our confidence in Barbados as a dynamic and enduring destination, while continuing to thoughtfully evolve our all-inclusive portfolio,” said Gastón Gonzalez, Regional Vice President, Marriott International, Caribbean & Mexico.

“Tribute Portfolio allows us to deliver a more elevated and distinctive experience—one that celebrates authenticity, fosters meaningful community connections, and reflects a true sense of place in a way that resonates with today’s discerning traveler.”

Located along Barbados' popular South Coast near St. Lawrence Gap, the resort is positioned as a base for visitors looking to explore the island's beaches, nightlife, dining scene and attractions, including historic Bridgetown.

Under the leadership of General Manager Kim Young, Turtle Beach features suite-style accommodations, many with ocean views, designed with bright colours and coastal-inspired décor intended to reflect Barbadian culture.

"Today's traveler is seeking more than just a stay—they want a connection to the destination," said Oscar Gonzalez Ibarra, Area General Manager, Barbados Collection. "Turtle Beach offers a fresh, locally inspired all-inclusive experience that celebrates the spirit of Barbados while maintaining the individuality, service and design guests expect from Tribute Portfolio. We look forward to welcoming the travelers of the world and enjoy a true Bajan stay."

The resort's dining program includes three main venues: Kefi Restaurant, which serves Greek cuisine; Oistins Restaurant and Bar, offering international fare; and Breeze Bar and Restaurant, which focuses on Caribbean-inspired dishes. Additional outlets include Unfiltered Coffee and the Swerve Ice Cream Shop. Unlimited drinks and cocktails are included as part of the all-inclusive package.

For families, Turtle Beach offers an indoor-outdoor CAMP Club featuring activities such as Caribbean dance lessons and Bajan-inspired arts and crafts. Guests can also take part in snorkeling, kayaking, tennis, beach games and cultural programming. Seasonal turtle release experiences, culinary classes and live music are also part of the resort's activity lineup.

The opening further strengthens Marriott's presence in the Caribbean all-inclusive sector and gives Marriott Bonvoy members another option to earn and redeem loyalty points in Barbados.
