Three Canadian Hotels Make T&L’s Top 100

Travel and Leisure recently announced their top 100 picks for best hotels in the world, and three properties made the list…and it’s not the usual suspects.

Rosemead House, just outside Victoria; Kendrick Hotel in Banff; and Huttopia Les Deux Lacs in Quebec’s Laurentides have the honour of being Canada’s representatives of best in the world.

Each year, writers and editors from the magazine evaluate hundreds of hotels to determine “the best.” For 2026’s list, more than 250 hotels in 40 countries were visited. To qualify, the property had to have opened or undergone a major renovation between Feb. 2025 and Feb. 2026.

Rosemead House was praised as a “maximalist-design fever dream” while the Kendrick’s  saltwater pool, sauna, steam room, and hydrotherapy circuit at Nora Pool was noted, and the the editors were taken with the lakeside setting while glamping at Huttopia.
