Hilton is bringing its contemporary lifestyle brand, Tempo by Hilton, to Canada with a new property near Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).
Anticipated to open in 2028, the 193-room hotel, Tempo by Hilton Toronto Airport, will be part of a mixed-use complex developed by Toronto-based Inspiration Group.
Designed by Khalsa Design, the 16-story hotel aims to cater to both business and leisure travellers.
The project adds to Hilton’s growing presence in Canada, where the company already operates more than 190 hotels, with nearly 110 more in development. Hilton expects to surpass 200 Canadian properties this year.
“The introduction of Tempo by Hilton Toronto Airport represents an exciting milestone as we continue to bolster our offerings of world-class brands across Canada,” said Matt Wehling, Hilton’s senior vice president of development for the U.S. and Canada.
According to a press release, guest rooms will include distinct zones for sleeping, getting ready, and relaxation, along with blackout curtains, adjustable lighting, and wireless charging stations to promote screen-free downtime. Select rooms will also feature Peloton bikes in the brand’s wellness-focused design.
Public amenities will include a coffee bar, hydration station, fitness center, indoor pool, and over 3,000 square feet of meeting space.
Once open, Tempo by Hilton Toronto Airport will join the Hilton Honors guest-loyalty program for Hilton’s 24 world-class brands.
