Still making plans for Easter? Consider an astronomy-focused trip to the Maldives.
The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands is welcoming astronomer and author Tom Kerss as part of its 2026 Masters of Crafts program.
From April 4-12, Kerss will help travelers find the original Easter bunny— Lepus the Hare—in the night sky. The constellation, located beneath Orion’s feet, is home to several galaxies, as well as the Spirograph Nebula and Globular Cluster M79.
Lepus will be brought to life across the island resort by Anni Betts, the illustrator of Kerss’ children’s books. Guests will find the hare in the magical Mystique Garden, Culinary Island and beyond.

Kerss, who also serves as chief aurora chaser for Hurtigruten, will offer guided telescope stargazing and astrophotography workshops, lectures and other interactive sessions for kids and adults.
From the Maldives, travelers will have views of both northern and southern constellations, with Kerss offering insights about the science and stories behind them.
The Easter festivities also include a gala dinner, a traditional Easter egg hunt, an Easter carnival and a starlight concert dinner.
