The Global Piton Awards recognize travel advisors for their sales performance, destination knowledge and contributions to promoting Saint Lucia. Named after the island's Piton Mountains, the awards are among the tourism authority's highest distinctions.
The three Canadian recipients from Trevello are:
- Lois Barbour, Travel Time
- Kim Hartlen, Kim Hartlen Travel
- Jennifer Gaskell, Pink Palm Travel
In addition to receiving a Global Piton Award, Barbour was also presented with the CEO Award for Canada, which recognizes the event's top Canadian travel professional.
The advisors travelled to Saint Lucia from June 11-15 as part of a recognition program that included destination experiences, cultural events and the Global Piton Awards ceremony.
"This recognition speaks to the passion, expertise, and dedication that our advisors bring to their clients every day. To have three of the five Canadian recipients come from the Trevello, is nothing short of extraordinary. It is a powerful statement about the calibre of professionals who call Trevello home," said Zeina Gedeon.
The three advisors represent different provinces across Canada and were recognized for their contributions to promoting Saint Lucia and supporting tourism to the destination.
According to Trevello, the achievement highlights the strength of its independent advisor network, with advisors from Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Ontario earning recognition through the international awards program.
