Forbes Travel Guide has unveiled its second annual Edge List, recognizing seven hotel, rail and cruise experiences.
The theme for the 2026 Edge List is “Curated Journeys,” with this year’s selections focused on itineraries that connect travellers with the culture, landscapes and character of a destination.
The list spans experiences across Peru, Indonesia, Egypt, Bhutan, Africa, the Maldives and the American West.
“Luxury travel today is defined not only by where you go, but by how thoughtfully the journey is crafted,” said Hermann Elger, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide.
“The 2026 Edge List celebrates curated journeys that transform travel into something more meaningful, whether connecting guests across extraordinary destinations or revealing the many dimensions of a single place. We are proud to recognize these experiences for exemplifying the art of exploration.”

Belmond – Grand Tour of Peru
A customizable rail-and-hotel itinerary exploring Peru’s ancient civilizations, landscapes and major destinations.
Lombok Lodge Hospitality – Dual-Island Journey
An Indonesian itinerary connecting Lombok with the Gili Islands.
Kazazian Cruises – Nile Journey
A luxury yacht journey along the Nile combining visits to Egypt’s historical sites with smaller-scale, personalized exploration.
Amankora – Ultimate Amankora Journey
An itinerary through Bhutan’s five valleys combining cultural experiences, wellness and Himalayan landscapes.
Thanda – Safari to Island Journey
A private safari followed by an Indian Ocean island stay, combining two different African settings in one itinerary.
Soneva – Island to Island
A Maldives itinerary connecting secluded island resorts by seaplane and private yacht.
The Ranch at Rock Creek
A Montana experience centred on the American West, with ranch activities and guided excursions beyond the property.
Now in its second year, the Edge List focuses on travel experiences that provide access to distinctive or remote destinations while retaining the hospitality standards associated with luxury travel.
Forbes Travel Guide has rated luxury hotels, restaurants, spas and other hospitality businesses since 1958. Its Five-Star, Four-Star and Recommended ratings are based on anonymous, in-person inspections.
