With more than 300 sun-kissed islands, pristine turquoise waters and lush tropical surroundings, Fiji tops many bucket lists. Thanks to its scenic beauty and warm hospitality, the country's tagline, 'Where happiness comes naturally', is an apt description for the destination that welcomed close to one million visitors in 2025. From luxury and family-friendly resorts to new active or cultural experiences and community-led initiatives, here's what advisors can offer clients seeking an unforgettable voyage.

Expanded air lift across the South Pacific
North America is one of Fiji's top markets; Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Nadi International Airport (NAN) bookings are up 40 per cent since last year. Strong demand from the Canadian market got another boost following June 16, when Fiji Airways added a third weekly direct flight from Vancouver, with additional capacity during peak travel periods. The airline has also expanded its codeshare partnership with British Airways to include the YVR to NAN route, offering more options between Canada, the United Kingdom and Fiji. The Fijian government is also planning to build a new airport to service the Yasawa Islands, a more remote area dotted with a few luxurious properties and unspoiled beaches.
Additional and improved lodging
As guest numbers rise, so too have Fiji’s accommodation offerings. The long-awaited reopening of the refurbished Westin Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is set for later in 2026. Tucked on the western side of Naviti Island in Fiji's Yasawa Islands, the Mai Sunset Beach Resort opened in April with seven beachfront Fijian huts (called bures,) three garden bures and several new glamping beach and adventure tent accommodations coming in October. Tropica Island Resort reopened in April after a $6 million revamp that added new plunge pools and villas. Here, guests can help replenish the property's coral nursery.

Two new properties are under construction: A new Ritz-Carlton hotel on Fiji's Coral Coast and the country's first One&Only resort in the Yasawa Islands. Yavu Collective, developer and owner of Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa, will open four new properties in Nadi before the end of 2027, including the five-star Vatu Talei ‘The Jewel’; the four-star Na Tomba resort; Nuku Loaloa Living, 3.5-star fully equipped apartments and villas in Wailoaloa; and Tawamudu Resort & Spa, a 4-star beachfront resort in Yadua with spacious villas, an adults-only beach club, and a kids’ club.
Other popular options to recommend to clients include the 280-room Marriott Momi Bay — which offers a stargazing dome, jet ski safaris, a new Kids' Survivor Camp and several give-back programs for guests including planting mangroves and building fish houses to protect smaller species — and Yasawa Island Resort & Spa, which has 11 private beaches for bespoke picnics and offers a day trip to the Sawa-i-lau Caves and hidden chambers made famous in the 1980s Blue Lagoon movie.

In April, South Sea Cruises Group launched the 22-cabin Yasawa Princess II, which offers three-, four- and seven-night sailings. The ship can host 44 passengers or group buyouts, and features many included activities like snorkelling and cooking classes.

Dedicated to bee education, sustainable honey production and community partnerships, the program features a live bee wall, a guided tour of working hives (complete with protective beekeeping gear,) and tastings.

Guests can grill and chill aboard Fiji's first Self-Drive BBQ E-boat and have their own private three-hour float party from Port Denarau Marina in Nadi. Food is provided, or visitors can bring their own, and there are five boats in the float to rent — a service boat follows close by. The skipper even gets to wear a captain's hat.
Go Dirty Tours, which has led ATV adventure experiences for the past 25 years, just introduced a new full-day Legacy Trail ride in Koroyanitu Heritage Park through rugged forest landscapes that includes a waterfall hike, cultural storytelling, a picnic lunch and scenic viewpoints.
