It may be July now, but Walt Disney World is already busy prepping the holiday magic for the upcoming winter season, with a whole slate of fun activities and events for families to love coming this November through December.

The festivities begin on November 14, when Walt Disney World becomes a winter wonderland with holiday decor, themed food and beverage items, characters in festive outfits and special holiday entertainment and merchandise. Kids can meet Santa Claus, stay in hotels decorated to the hilt for the holidays, indulge in delicious seasonal foods and much more.

Magic Kingdom

Travelers heading to Magic Kingdom can enjoy the “Frozen Holiday Surprise” with a decorating event at Cinderella Castle, led by Olaf and other fun “Frozen” characters.

The new “Disney Starlight” parade will debut July 20 and run through the holiday season during the evenings when Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party isn’t being held. Watch out for an Elsa appearance!

The Jingle Cruise also returns this holiday season at the Jungle Navigation Company.

EPCOT

Travelers heading to EPCOT during the holiday season can enjoy the International Festival of the Holidays presented by AdventHealth, going on from November 28 through December 30. The festival offers holiday foods from around the world.

EPCOT guests also have an opportunity to hang with Olaf during Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt at the World Showcase. Scavengers are supposed to find thirteen holiday traditions around the World Showcase to redeem a special prize, available to redeem at Creations Shop or World Traveler.

Other fun EPCOT experiences include a singalong featuring carolers in Victorian attire, a nativity story at the Candlelight Processional at the America Gardens Theatre, Holiday Storytellers sharing the traditions of different countries and the Holiday Cookie Stroll.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios will offer several fun holiday offerings this season, including photo opportunities, nightly holiday projections called “Sunset Seasons Greetings,” which transforms the Hollywood Tower Hotel into several different holiday-themed designs.

Those heading to the Hyperion Theater can enjoy the “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration,” featuring characters from Frozen.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom guests can enjoy plenty of decorations and fun experiences, too, like the polar puppets inside Disney Island during the Merry Menagerie, Disney-themed artwork from artist Rob Kaz, photo opportunities with Mickey and Minnie Mouse and the “Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition.”

Disney Springs

Get your holiday shopping completed at Disney Springs, or check out the beautiful decorations at the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll. Keep your eyes peeled for some snowfall!
