Reminder: North Americans No Longer Need Visas To Visit Türkiye

Canadian and U.S. citizens no longer require a visa to visit Türkiye, which has become one of North Americans’ most sought-after overseas travel destinations.

Until December 31, 2023, Canadians and Americans needed to apply in advance for an E-Visa, purchasable online for $51.50. Türkiye now joins every country in Western Europe as being visa-free.

Istanbul is the largest city in Europe and a perpetual draw for international travellers, with its wealth of cultural, historic and gastronomic attractions.

North Americans are invited to enjoy attractions like the sophisticated “Turkaegean” resorts on the Mediterranean; Ankara, the country’s capital; the multitude of ancient sites throughout Asia Minor; and the unique landscapes of Cappadocia and the Anatolian Black Sea coast.
