Voyages announced the arrival of Brilliant Lady to the West Coast on April
6, 2026 in the Port of Los Angeles.
More than two thousand guests were welcomed aboard the ship —
including social media personality, singer and influencer Dixie D’Amelio and
actress Brec Bassinger — alongside media, influencers, First Mates and devoted
Sailors, ushering in a new era for the brand in California.
Designed to reflect the spirit of Los Angeles, Brilliant
Lady offers a look into the elements that have defined Virgin Voyages,
revealing a layered journey through its signature spaces, entertainment and
culinary concepts.
The milestone day began with behind-the-scenes exploration
of the ship’s experiences. Exclusive broadcast segments with Good Day L.A.
captured onboard offerings from West Coast–inspired spin classes, morning
rituals and redesigned juice bars, to a culinary spotlight at Rojo, the ship’s
Spanish restaurant. Previews of entertainment inside The Manor and a first look
at upcoming itineraries sailing from Los Angeles to Mexico and Alaska were also
included.
Guests explored at their own pace throughout the afternoon,
moving between a First Mate Welcome Show for travel advisors, intimate Secret
Vintage wine tastings and interactive moments like CTRL + ALT + DELUSION, punctuated
by pop-up performances from the Happenings Cast. In the evening, daytime
discovery gave way to a more elevated, high-energy atmosphere.
Dining included a hosted media dinner at Rojo complemented
by curated seatings across Pink Agave, Gunbae, Extra Virgin, The Wake and Test
Kitchen. Live music throughout the ship created a continuous rhythm from
afternoon through midnight, while VIP First Mate gatherings and special guest
moments added to the sense of occasion.
At night, guests were treated to the music-driven show Red
Hot, an electrifying spectacle of Virgin Records' musical catalogue along with
Up With a Twist, the brand’s new 1920s-inspired Supper Club show. The grand
finale included a Scarlet Night, Virgin Voyages’ signature, high-energy
poolside celebration, topped off with a Virgin Atlantic flight giveaway
On April 7, Brilliant Lady set out on her LA
MerMaiden sail, marking a pivotal expansion for the cruise line. She now begins
a season of West Coast sailings, including itineraries to the Mexican Riviera
and Baja California, before heading north for the brand’s first-ever Alaska
