Princess Cruises has unveiled its 2028-29 Australia and New Zealand season, featuring more than 90 departures across more than 70 itineraries, alongside a 129-night world cruise that will visit 61 destinations in 31 countries.
The voyages go on sale November 10 and include itineraries ranging from two-night regional getaways to extended journeys around Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
“Princess Cruises has a long and proud history of inspiring guests to explore the world, and our 2028-29 season takes that spirit of discovery to extraordinary new heights,” says Jim Berra, chief commercial officer of Princess Cruises.
The season will feature three ships—Grand Princess, Emerald Princess and Royal Princess—sailing to 42 destinations across six countries. Guests can choose from departures in Adelaide, Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth (Fremantle) and Sydney.
The program includes 17 round-Australia voyages, 11 More Ashore experiences with late-night or overnight port calls, and visits to 10 UNESCO World Heritage sites. The expanded New Zealand program will offer additional opportunities to explore both the North and South islands.
Emerald Princess will also return to Australia for the first time since the 2016-17 season, while Melbourne will again serve as a homeport.
The 2029 Grand World Odyssey, sailing aboard Grand Princess, will be the longest world cruise offered roundtrip from Australia, according to Princess Cruises.
The 129-night voyage will cover approximately 37,300 nautical miles and visit 61 destinations across 31 countries on five continents. Passengers will have opportunities to visit 51 UNESCO World Heritage sites, with stops in cities including New York, Miami, Reykjavik, Lisbon, Barcelona, Copenhagen and Auckland.
The itinerary also includes two full transits of the Panama Canal's new locks, scenic cruising near Easter Island and Pitcairn Island, and nine More Ashore experiences across Europe, South America and the South Pacific. These include eight late-night stays and one overnight port call.
Guests can join the world cruise in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, with an additional departure option from Dover, England.
The Australia and New Zealand season will feature destinations known for their wildlife, coastal scenery and cultural attractions.
Highlights include Phillip Island in Australia, where visitors can watch little penguins return to shore at sunset, and Kangaroo Island, known for its native wildlife. Select itineraries will also feature scenic cruising along Australia's Kimberley coast, with its rugged cliffs, gorges and waterfalls.
In New Zealand, expanded itineraries will offer opportunities to explore Fiordland National Park and coastal communities throughout the country. South Pacific voyages will visit tropical islands across the region.
Princess is also offering early-booking incentives for both programs from November 10 through February 16, 2027.
For the Australia and New Zealand season, offers include up to $500 in instant savings, up to $500 in onboard credit and reduced deposits of $100, along with other booking benefits. The Grand World Odyssey offer includes up to $3,000 in onboard credit and up to $2,000 in Captain's Circle savings.
“From the longest World Cruise ever to sail roundtrip out of Australia to an unmatched variety of voyages showcasing the beauty of Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, we're giving guests more ways to discover remarkable destinations, immerse themselves in different cultures and see the world in new ways,” says Berra.
