In the latest installment of Babbling Brooks featuring Allan Brooks, National Director, Market Sales, Celebrity Cruises, he tells TravelPulse Canada’s John Kirk about the current state of Canadian sales, and offers advice to advisors on how to get hesitant clients to commit.
With higher interest rates impacting mortgages and the impact of inflation over the past couple of years, Brooks says Canadians still want to travel, but they need to find the best value for their buck.
“It’s not like they’re not booking, but they’re definitely taking their time to find the right value. I just think people are doing their homework a bit more,” Brooks told Kirk.

If they want to stick with Celebrity and make a deposit within 30 days, they’ll maintain Elite status.”
Brooks also said some advisors aren’t aware of the value of Consortia Headquarters Groups, which come with attractive locked-in pricing. Advisors can make individual bookings into this price-protected group space. “The difference in price can be staggering,” Brooks says.
