Canadian senior travel company Approach Tours announced the launch of an 18-day Argentina & Antarctica itinerary, with the first departures scheduled for early 2027.
The new program combines land touring in Argentina with an Antarctic expedition cruise, taking travellers from Buenos Aires and Iguazú Falls to Ushuaia before crossing the Drake Passage into Antarctica.
The itinerary includes a voyage aboard a small expedition ship that crosses the Antarctic Circle, with opportunities to see glaciers, icebergs, penguin colonies and whales. Travellers will also participate in citizen science initiatives alongside expedition experts to support research in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.
The new itinerary is the fourth cruise product introduced by Approach Tours and joins its existing Amazon & Ecuador, France & the Rhône, and Costa Rica & Galápagos Islands programs.
Like the company's other cruise offerings, the trip combines a cruise with pre- and post-cruise land experiences as part of a single itinerary.
"We are very excited to be launching our fourth cruise itinerary and visiting one of the world’s most spectacular destinations," said Daniel Fequet, Founder of Approach Tours.
"The trip will give passengers the chance to experience the hustle and bustle of vibrant cities before heading to the silence of the White Continent to see nature at its most powerful. Travellers are now seeking immersive experiences, rather than just ticking off landmarks, and we want our customers to just focus on having an unforgettable cruise."
"This is a once in a lifetime adventure where we’ve taken care of everything in our usual and unique Approach Tours way. Each departure is designed around small groups of travellers, supported by a dedicated 'Group Guru' and local expert team, with our radically all-inclusive model. Customers can simply relax and enjoy the incredible journey from start to finish."
According to the company, its cruise packages include international and domestic flights, transfers, excursions, meals, an open bar, gratuities, port fees and onboard Wi-Fi.
Bookings for the Argentina & Antarctica itinerary are now open.
Prices start at $26,995 per person, with departures beginning in early 2027. A $5,000 deposit secures a booking. The itinerary is available only through direct booking with Approach Tours and is not sold through travel advisors or third-party operators.
