The flight schedule at WestJet is about to get busier for the 2025-26 winter sun season. The airline announced today, July 7, 2025 a host of new and expanded routes that will bring Canadians to the warm destinations we seek.
The airline also announced expanded domestic service, particularly in Western Canada.
"Canadians want value while escaping the cold, and WestJet's 2025/2026 winter schedule delivers on both affordability and choice," said John Weatherill, WestJet Group Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. "By expanding our sun network, strengthening key routes and growing strategically across Canada and internationally, WestJet is coming through for Canadians by connecting them to the destinations they love at prices they can afford. In fact, 71 per cent of WestJet's non-stop services are currently priced lower than they were in 2024."
New Destinations and Routes to the South
"We're prioritizing flexibility, optionality and value to meet Canadians' demand to visit warm weather destinations,” said Weatherill. “With a peak of over 4,300 weekly departures to 106 destinations planned this winter, there's something for everyone!"
From December to April, WestJet will be flying to five destinations it has not flown to before:
Additionally, the airline is introducing weekly service on new routes, opening up direct service for passengers who previously had to navigate connecting flights, including:
- Calgary - Cozumel

International and Domestic Growth

Here at home, WestJet will operate more than two million domestic seats, serving 31 Canadian destinations during the winter 2025/2026 travel season from its hub at the YYC Calgary International Airport. The airline has increased capacity on key routes within Western Canada.
