Virgin Atlantic has launched an app within ChatGPT, becoming the first airline to offer flight planning directly through the platform.
According to the airline, the new feature allows users to search for flights by typing requests such as “flights to London in July” or “show me flights in Premium from New York or Boston next month.” Results are presented before being redirected to the carrier's website or mobile app to complete booking.
The launch builds on the airline’s existing digital tools, including its AI-powered Concierge and mobile app.
“We’re proud to be the first airline in the world to launch an app in ChatGPT, as we continue to focus on meeting our customers where they are and making it easier than ever to connect with us," Juha Jaervinen, Chief Customer Officer at Virgin Atlantic, said.

The ChatGPT app is now available.
