Porter Airlines will begin nonstop flights between Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM) starting November 17, 2025.
The new service will also connect Fort McMurray to Porter’s broader Eastern Canada network through Ottawa, including St. John’s, Halifax, Moncton, and Toronto.

“Porter is the only airline providing service between Ottawa and Fort McMurray. As the latest addition to our network, Fort McMurray is gaining valuable new air service to support its position as a key economic centre and leisure travel destination for outdoor adventure," said Andrew Pierce, vice president of network planning and reporting at Porter Airlines.
Fort McMurray becomes Porter’s third destination in Alberta, alongside Calgary and Edmonton, while Ottawa now serves as a hub for 26 destinations.
The route will operate three times weekly on Porter’s 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which includes no middle seats, complimentary snacks, beer and wine, and free high-speed WiFi.
