Some of the Caribbean's most coveted destinations are about to get more accessible in 2026.

On Monday, interCaribbean Airways announced new nonstop service from Tortola in the British Virgin Islands to Barbados and St. Maarten, with flights set to begin on March 8, 2026.

The carrier is also expanding operations at its Barbados hub, adding five nonstop destinations to bring the total to 12.

Starting this spring, interCaribbean Airways will operate seven weekly flights between Tortola's (EIS) Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS) and Barbados' (BGI) Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI).

Four flights will operate nonstop, while three additional weekly flights will route via Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) in St. Maarten.

"Expanding nonstop options from Tortola has been a priority for us," Lyndon Gardiner, Chairman of interCaribbean Airways, said in a statement.

"Adding Barbados and St. Maarten as nonstop destinations gives BVI travelers access to our wider Caribbean network in both directions. For the British Virgin Islands, it reinforces our long-term commitment to the territory. We've been serving Tortola for ten years now, and we continue to invest in connectivity options for BVI residents and visitors."

interCaribbean Airways continues to expand its fleet, which now includes 11 ATR turboprop aircraft.
