After 10 months of negotiation, Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) — the union that represents Flair Airlines 270 pilots — has announced a tentative deal with the airline.
“During negotiations, our pilots made it clear they expected an agreement that recognizes their professionalism, dedication, and the critical role they play in Flair’s success,” said Flair Master Executive Council chair First Officer Aimee Wintle. “This tentative agreement marks meaningful progress on the issues most important to our pilot group.”
The proposed contract is a three-year agreement, which ALPA says addresses “several key priorities identified by the Flair pilots,” such as improved compensation, a path to better career progression, scheduling rules and quality of life provisions.
“Throughout the negotiating process, our pilots remained united and engaged, providing the strength and direction needed at the bargaining table,” says Wintle. “While there is still work ahead, this tentative agreement marks an important step for our pilot group and brings an added level of stability and professionalism to our airline.”
Now that a tentative deal has been reached, it is up to the pilots themselves to ratify it. Over the next few months, pilots will be given the opportunity to review the contract and vote on it.
