Flair Airlines says it has posted the strongest operational performance among Canadian carriers in January.
According to new data from Cirium, during one of the most challenging months of the winter travel season, Flair recorded a 97.2% completion factor. The airline also achieved a 67.6% A15 on-time performance, up four points year over year, and an 85.4% A60 on-time performance.
“Winter weather challenged the entire industry in January,” said Flair CEO Maciej Wilk.
“Our teams remained focused on delivering reliable, on-time service for customers, and these results reflect that commitment.”
According to Cirium data, Flair led the industry with a 67.6% A15 on-time performance and a 97.2% completion factor.
By comparison, WestJet recorded a 64.1% A15 on-time performance with a 95.9% completion factor, while Air Canada posted a 57.4% A15 on-time performance and an 89.6% completion factor. Porter reported a 51.4% A15 on-time performance and a 95.7% completion factor.
Flair also carried 285,506 passengers in January, achieving an 83.1% load factor, indicating continued demand across its network.
On the sustainability front, the airline reported 97.30 grams of CO₂ per revenue passenger mile, placing it among the lowest-emitting carriers in Canada.
“We’re confident these results will carry us forward through the rest of 2026,” Wilk added. “Reliability is not a moment for us; it’s the standard our customers should expect every time they choose Flair.”
