Air Transat has officially launched non-stop flights from Montreal to both Reykjavík, Iceland, and Dakar, Senegal, adding two new destinations to what the airline says is its largest summer schedule to date.
Flight TS722 departed Montreal–Trudeau International Airport for Dakar on June 18, marking the start of service to the Senegalese capital. The route will operate up to twice weekly through Oct. 18, 2026.
Earlier this week, on June 16, Air Transat inaugurated its new route to Reykjavík with flight TS772. Service to Iceland's capital will also operate up to twice weekly and is scheduled to run until Sept. 20, 2026.

"These two launches mark an important milestone in the diversification of our network and reflect our ambition to open new doors to the world," said Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat.
"With Dakar, we are pioneers, becoming the first airline to offer a direct connection between Canada and Sub-Saharan Africa. With Reykjavík, we are making it easier to access a spectacular, high-demand destination, where nature and landscapes become a true travel experience. These new routes create opportunities for discovery and strengthen already vibrant ties between communities."
