Air Transat Ending US Flights

Aviation consulting firm Ailevon Pacific is reporting the end of Air Transat flights to U.S. destinations starting in the spring. 

The Montreal-based airline will cease operating its Montreal Trudeau (YUL)-Orlando International (MCO) flight on May 4, 2026, and its flights into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL) from Quebec City (YQB) and Montreal in June.

With the cessation of these routes, Air Transat is no longer scheduled to fly transborder flights, with the exception of two flights in December to Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU) in Puerto Rico which are still on the books. 

Air Transat has previously announced several exciting long-haul routes for the summer, including Albania, Ghana and Senegal. 

Air Transat is not the only airline cutting U.S. routes, as WestJet also made a shift in its transborder operations for the summer, removing anticipated flights from 10 U.S. destinations, leaving no direct flights on the routes between Calgary and Raleigh-Durham;  Edmonton and Boston and San Diego; nor Winnipeg and Nashville.
