Air Canada Throttles Montreal - San Francisco Route

Air Canada was set to double its service between Montreal-Trudeau (YUL) and San Francisco (SFO) over the winter, but has decided against that.

Originally, the airline had intended to maintain its summer schedule of twice-daily flights into the winter, until at least March 2026. Simple Flying reports that Air Canada will instead revert to the once-a-day schedule that it operated during the winter season of 2024-2025.

This news is just the latest in several reported cuts to transborder flights, including the recent announcements of cancellations by WestJet of its Vancouver-Austin route and JetBlue of its Halifax-Boston route, both of which were cut before they even launched.
