Aeroplan Points Matching Week is back from now until October 13, allowing Canadians to donate their Aeroplan points to support The Air Canada Foundation Hospital Transportation Program which helps connect children to medical care not available in their communities.
With the goal of raising 60 million points, all donations have a first-hand impact on children, having assisted 214 children with 308 flights in 2023. This includes children like Darius from Thunder Bay, ON who was born with Down Syndrome and two holes in his heart and needed to be airlifted to Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, and Benjamin from Abitibi, who could fly home from CHU Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal between treatments after he was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia at five and a half months old.
"Year after year, we are blown away by the generosity of Aeroplan and our Aeroplan Members. For the Foundation, their contributions are invaluable and make a real difference in helping children get the care they need," said Valérie Durand, spokesperson for the Air Canada Foundation. "We want to thank Aeroplan Members for their donations, and Aeroplan, TD and CIBC for their contribution in matching these donations."
Aeroplan will match member donations up to 10M points, doubling the impact. Participating partners TD and CIBC will each match cardholder donations up to 10M points, effectively tripling the impact for Canadians with those respective cards.
