Air Canada, in collaboration with the Government of Canada, will operate two special flights on October 13 and 14 from Athens to bring back Canadians and permanent residents in Israel. As part of this agreement, the Government of Canada is providing military flights from Tel Aviv to transport these people to Athens, where they can then board special Air Canada flights to Toronto.

Procedure for Canadians who wish to board these flights:
- Air Canada will operate two special repatriation flights from Athens to Toronto on October 13 and 14 using a 300-seat wide-body aircraft.
- Global Affairs Canada is coordinating arrangements in Israel for Canadians who wish to return on these flights and will issue them with special codes for this purpose. Therefore, anyone wishing to take a seat on these flights must first contact Global Affairs Canada.
- Air Canada customers with unused return tickets can exchange them for special repatriation flights to Toronto.
- Passengers who do not have a ticket will be able to purchase one on the Air Canada website using the code provided by the government.

Air Canada has temporarily canceled its flights to Tel Aviv. This measure will be in effect at least until October 31, 2023 inclusive. We are monitoring developments very closely. Air Canada will resume operations to Tel Aviv as soon as the situation has stabilized. A goodwill policy has been put in place to allow passengers on flights to or from Tel Aviv to make changes to their travel plans, including obtaining a refund. Air Canada's usual schedule includes 10 weekly flights between Canada and Tel Aviv from Toronto (daily) and Montreal (three times a week).
