Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) is revamping its National Leadership Conference (NLC) with a new format, location, and focus on long-term impact.
For the first time, the event will be held in Europe, at Club Med Magna Marbella on Spain’s Costa del Sol, from March 22 to 28.
The event will host TDC’s franchised and affiliated agency owners and managers, the Voyages Transat/Transat Travel management team, TDC’s leadership team, and many of its preferred partners for a week of strategic planning.
"We have truly broken the mold for this latest edition of our National Leadership Conference," said Karine Gagnon, General Manager of TDC.
"We are equipping our members ahead of time, encouraging them to reflect on their business goals in advance. This ensures that once in Spain, they take purposeful actions and engage with the right people. And this journey won’t stop at the end of the week—it will continue after we return to Canada, with a series of post-event follow-ups to help members apply their learnings to real-world scenarios."
A feature of this year’s conference is its partnership with executive coach Cloé Caron. Each participant will have access to a one-on-one session with Caron and the TDC Playbook, a tool designed to help agency owners turn insights into action.
New Meeting Formats
Instead of traditional plenary sessions, TDC has introduced new meeting formats, including Partner Business Reviews—one-on-one meetings with preferred partners to explore new opportunities—and private sessions with TDC leadership.
A new mobile app will help participants schedule meetings, connect with peers, and stay organized.
Insights on Today’s Challenges
The event will include 10 expert speakers and seven "TDC Talks"—short sessions addressing real business challenges.
"Our owners are incredibly busy, so we’ve made sure that these talks get straight to the point and provide concrete action steps," said Dianne Jackson, Director of Franchised and Affiliated Members.
Topics include AI for marketing, social media growth, and leadership strategies.
Gagnon will lead a workshop called Lead, Align, Sell: The Three Pillars of a High-Performing Agency.
"As someone passionate about human relationships in leadership, sales has been a major focus of my career, from luxury hospitality to Transat. I’m eager to share my hands-on expertise with our members through my workshop," she said.
Beyond the Event
TDC says the conference’s impact won’t end in Spain. Follow-up initiatives will help participants stay on track.
According to Anthony Mormina, Senior Director of Sales and Operations at TDC, this year’s revamped approach ensures every participant leaves Marbella with a personalized action plan tailored to their agency’s needs.
"The ability to exchange expertise and best practices among agency owners is one of the most valuable aspects of this event," Mormina said.
