Murray Shields, operating as Toronto Nature Lovers, has pleaded guilty to operating as a travel agent without being registered, following charges laid by the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO).According to TICO, Shields was fined CAD$3,750, inclusive of a victim surcharge, and sentenced to a two-year probation.

Shields sold travel services without registration, focusing on nature-themed tours across Canada.
Under the Travel Industry Act, 2002, individuals convicted of offences can face fines of up to $50,000 and/or prison terms of up to two years. Corporations can face fines of up to $250,000.
