The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has approved 23 claims totalling $35,230 from its Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund to help 165 consumers who did not receive the travel services they paid for.
According to a press release, the decision, made by TICO’s Board of Directors on July 29, 2025, includes 20 claims related to Temple & Temple Tours Inc., assisting 159 consumers with a total of $32,098 in approved compensation.
Consumers affected by the closure of Temple & Temple Tours Inc. have until September 25, 2025, to file a claim with the Compensation Fund.

TICO also approved three claims totalling $3,132 for six consumers impacted by Trip Support Inc.
The deadline for filing claims related to Trip Support concluded on May 5, 2025.
The Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund is financed by the travel industry and offers protection to consumers who booked through Ontario-registered travel agencies or wholesalers and did not receive services due to insolvency, bankruptcy, or the cessation of service by an airline or cruise line.
TICO administers the Fund as part of its consumer protection mandate.
