Transat Distribution Canada (TDC), gave a group of owners and travel professionals from its network the opportunity to discover Scenic Group's luxury fleet, as part of an exclusive familiarization trip. The TDC team went from river to ocean as they sailed on the "Gems of the Danube" itinerary, and were first the exclusive Canadian agency to experience Scenic Eclipse II.
The trip commenced with a warm welcome aboard the Scenic Amber, where Juna Ueda, GM Sales for Scenic Group Canada, graciously hosted the team. The seven-night luxury river cruise embarked from Nuremberg and travelled along the majestic Danube River, stopping at captivating destinations such as Regensberg, Passau, Linz, Melk and Durnstein. Additionally, the participants and their companions enjoyed a visit to Salzburg or Cesky Krumlov, biking along the river and enjoyed a private concert by the Vienna Imperial Orchestra at Palais Liechtenstein. The vibrant ambiance of Budapest, heightened by the UEFA football finals, added an extra layer of excitement to their voyage.

After the cruise, the group flew to Malaga, Spain, for a unique additional Scenic experience. The Scenic Eclipse stopped in Malaga for a night, and the TDC network group was able to visit this ice-strengthened expedition mega-yacht, which can accommodate 228 guests and 176 crew. The day became even more memorable when the TDC group attended the ship's naming ceremony, where Scenic Group Chairman and founder Glen Moroney, accompanied by Dr Kathy Sullivan, Scenic Eclipse II's Godmother and esteemed NASA astronaut, geologist and oceanographer, christened the ship. "The christening of Scenic Eclipse II by her Godmother was made even more special as we were able to share the moment with our valued travel partner Transat Distribution Canada," mentioned Juna Ueda.
