The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) made its return to the Canadian market this week, connecting with travel trade representatives in Toronto and Montreal.

The visit, led by Chief Marketing Officer Kimberly King and Marketing Officer Sharon Lowe, highlighted Anguilla’s tourism growth and ambitious plans for the year ahead.

Tourism on the Rise

During their presentations, King and Lowe emphasized the ongoing growth of Anguilla’s tourism sector.

The success of Anguilla’s “Exclusively Yours” campaign was credited with a notable increase in visitors to the island. In June 2024, stayover arrivals rose by 25.2% compared to the previous year, marking the highest number of arrivals for that month in 30 years. July continued this trend, showing a 20.3% increase, the highest recorded for the month in three decades.

King highlighted Anguilla’s airport redevelopment plan, with a new passenger terminal building expected to be completed this Fall and an extension of the runway by 2026/7.

“It’s important that we develop and strengthen relationships with airline partners ahead of this project’s completion to assist with co-op marketing initiatives,” said King.

“In doing so, we can support and maintain the projected passenger demand.”

Luxury Cred

"Four Seasons and Belmond Cap Juluca will bring renewed vigour into the latter half of 2025 with new restaurants and lounges," the company said in a statment.

The enhancements come on the heels of Cap Juluca’s 5-star recognition from the 2025 Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards – joining the Four Seasons (5-star), Aurora Anguilla (4-star), QHotel (4-star), and Zemi (highly recommended).

New Advisor Program

The ATB also introduced its plans for a new Travel Advisor Program, designed to provide agents with insights into the island’s offerings and facilitate closer collaboration.

More details on the program will be announced soon.

A Year of Events & Volun-Tourism

Looking ahead to 2025, Anguilla is preparing for a year of festivals and events.

Alongside the Summer Festival, Festival Del Mar, the Anguilla Culinary Experience (ACE), and the Moonsplash Musical Festival, Anguilla will be expanding its Volun-Tourism initiatives, offering visitors opportunities to engage with the community and support sustainability efforts.

According to a statement, with an emphasis on becoming the region’s most sustainable island, these programs aim to encourage meaningful travel experiences while giving back to the local environment and culture.
