The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) is encouraging travel professionals across the country to boost their careers by earning a nationally recognized designation—and is offering a 30% discount on enrollment fees for the month of June.
The offer applies to both of ACTA’s professional certifications: Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) and Certified Travel Manager (CTM).
Each is designed to elevate industry standards and provide travel advisors with the tools, training, and recognition needed to stand out in a competitive market.
The CTC designation is considered the Canadian travel industry’s national standard for frontline travel advisors, emphasizing customer service, marketing, sales, and industry regulations. It includes both a knowledge exam and a real-world performance evaluation.
Certified professionals also benefit from the use of the CTC logo, listing in ACTA’s certified directory, priority access to international experiential learning opportunities, and networking events.
For those aspiring to management positions, the CTM designation focuses on leadership skills and strategic business planning, including financial management, human resources, and operations. Evaluations are based on real workplace case studies and scenarios.
“By earning CTC designation, advisors will join the thousands of professionals who have enhanced their brand, increased their visibility, and advanced their careers through ACTA certification,” the organization said in a release.
As part of its outreach, ACTA is hosting a free webinar on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM ET, presented by Monica Perez Garcia. The session will explain the steps to earning a CTC designation and what it can mean for a career in travel.
To access the limited-time 30% discount, advisors must enroll by June 30, 2025, and use the code SUMMER2025 at checkout. Register here.
