The industry gathered Thursday night at the Drake Hotel in downtown Toronto to celebrate 25 years of Softvoyage, a milestone the company largely attributes to the strength of their team and partners.  The event was held also in recognition of some of their first established clients including Eric and Lyne Rose of Voyages Bergeron, first SIREV client in 1998, and Frank DeMarinis, the company's first B2C client in 1998 with Bel Air Travel.

“25 years is a lot of accomplishments, adaptation to new technologies and a lot of progress! We have had great successes and formed strong alliances over the years,” Steve Ringuet, co-president and co-founder of SIREV, told TravelPulse Quebec at their earlier event in Montreal.

25 years ago, Steve Ringuet and Canadian Travel Hall of Fame member Moïse Lévy, at the time president of Lévy et Associés, combined their activities to form their new entity. In the years that followed, partnerships with Sabre, Galileo and Amadeus propelled Softvoyage to the top, solidifying its dominant position in IT systems for the Canadian travel market.

“One of the most memorable moments was my association with Moise; managing together for 25 years has been the key to our success. Today, we have a very strong team, including employees who have been with us since the beginning."

“We have experienced several other significant events and overcome major challenges in 25 years,” adds Mr. Lévy, co-president and co-founder of SIREV. “Events such as September 11, 2001 or the pandemic, but we also acquired new major clients, notably Transat 15 years ago and Air Canada around ten years ago."

Today, SIREV is the leading shopping and reservation system in Canada, used by thousands of travel agents to save time, money and enhance the quality of services offered to customers and the winner of multiple TravelPulse Canada Readers' Choice Awards.

“The vast majority of agencies who want to sell trips go through us, we are talking about around 4000-5000 agencies in Canada. SIREV is our most visible product, but Softvoyage also manages an entire system for tour operators."

“We are always innovating, our products are continually developing and improving. We regularly launch new features and we are keen to rejuvenate the Softvoyage team. We now have four new engineers and new project managers in their twenties, which gives us a breath of fresh air!"

Softvoyage currently has around sixty employees spread across its offices located in Montreal, Laval and Toronto.
