Atlantis Is Undergoing a Big Renovation: Here's a Look at The Cove and Royal Suites

Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas is renovating their Royal East and West Towers and has recently finished renovating The Cove.

The result is a fresh, modern take for all rooms. Final renovations are wrapping on the East Tower by May, at which point the West Tower will start its transformation and is expected to be finished by the end of 2023.

The resort has 4 hotels which range from higher end luxury at the Cove, to Royal, Reef and Coral. The Royal East Tower is expected to be completed by Summer 2022, while the West Tower renovation will follow and is expected to be completed by end of 2023. (The Reef's renovation happened in 2019 and the Coral was in 2017).

In 1994, Sol Kerzer purchased a floundering resort from entertainment giant Merv Griffin. From 1994 to 1998, Sol Kerzner created the mythical city of Atlantis from the ground up, investing more than $800 million to bring his vision of the lost city of Atlantis to life. The result was four hotels within a resort, each a destination in itself.

The Regal Suites at The Royal offer resort guests a truly sumptuous accommodation with sweeping views of the Caribbean, harbour, and Marina or tropical landscape. The rooms are spacious and feature a living area that can also be ajoined to connect the living space with larger sleeping area.

Newly renovated, The Royal guest rooms are made for Kings and Queens. Design elements celebrate the natural seascape of aquamarine waters, white-sand beaches, and coral reefs to inspire a soothing environment where guests can relax and unwind.

Uber-luxurious and adults-only, the pool at The Cove offers relaxation by the pool or beach, or in a private cabana which can be booked in advance and has a bathroom, big seating area inside and your own butler. Those booking a Cabana may very well be next to an NFL star, music artist or celebrity, which frequently visit The Cove and enjoy the adults-only pool area.
