Founded in Point Pleasant, N.J., in 1959 as Pleasant Travel Service, Pleasant Holidays LLC has grown to become one of the largest privately owned travel companies in the United States. Now located in Westlake Village, Calif., the company originally specialized in vacation packages to Hawaii. Still a top Hawaii tour operator, Pleasant Holidays has expanded its destination and brand portfolio to include the Caribbean; Costa Rica (including guided vacations); Mexico, Tahiti, Fiji and the Cook Islands and U.S. cities, as well as river cruise vacations to Asia and Europe.
