About Ecuador Ministry of Tourism

The Ecuador Ministry of Tourism promotes the South American country under the branding theme of "Ecuador, Love Life." The tourism ministry highlights Ecuador as the nexus of Latin American cultures, peoples and natural beauty in four diverse regions: the Andes, the Amazon, the Pacific Coast and the Galapagos Islands. The tourism ministry is also promoting what it calls "Conscious Tourism," which is based on the principles of sustainability and ethics in tourism. The goal of "Conscious Tourism" is to foster travel as an instrument for peace, friendship and respect, according to Ecuador Minister of Tourism Freddy Ehlers Zurita.
