Venice Access Fee Doubles for 2025

The battle to curb overtourism in Venice continues, as the city doubles the tourist fee for daily visitors to the Floating City, and lengthens the number of days it will be applied.

The fee was introduced last year, generating a reported 2.4 million euros (although the cost of implementing the program has not been disclosed.)

The fee is 10 euros per person during peak season in 2025, which is:

• April 18-May 4, every day.
• May 9-July 27, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The fee is charged to people arriving in the city between 8:30 am and 4 pm. 

It doesn’t apply to people who are:

• Staying overnight (overnight visitors must register at cda.ve.it and bring the generated exemption with them.)
• Transiting through Piazzale Roma, Tronchetto, or Stazione Marittima,without stopping in the ancient city.
• Visiting only the outer islands, including Murano, Burano, and the Lido.
  
  

Travellers who pay the access fee online at least four days ahead of their visit will save five euros on the fee. See cda.veneziaunica.it/en/access-fee for more information.
