Last night, the G Adventures crew, headed up by their fearless leader, David Green, hosted a select group of their top producing Travel advisors at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto to provide an update on some of the many great things underway at the company.
The company advised that bucket list travel is currently leading the way in transactions with longer-duration adventures and much bigger budgets. Further validating the growth, they advised that over 57% of the travellers with G Adventures are experiencing the company for the very first time. The group of advisors was surprised to learn that a little over 40% of all G Adventure clients are in the 50-69 age bracket. What was a little bit of a shock was of that number, 60% are aged 60-69 years old. This information validates that the aging population in Canada is seeking adventure and has the budget to do so.
Showcasing the Geluxe collection was at the forefront of the evening get-together. Featuring incredible luxury offerings in destinations such as Peru with the Refugio Amazonas, the Hotels Widiane Resort in Morocco, or the Hotel Villa Vannuci in Italy. The list of destinations where Geluxe product is available includes Costa Rica, Japan, Greece, Jordan, Morocco, South Africa, Vietnam, plus more.
The Geluxe Traveller profile? The company said advisors should watch out for these key traits when identifying the right clientele for the Geluxe product. Adventurous, well travelled and sophisticated. They are looking to stay active on their holiday and want thoughtfully crafted itineraries that make the most of their time but still feature the freedom to occasionally unwind and explore. They want outstanding accommodations that offer something unique, yet values drive their buying decisions. They want to travel responsibly and are willing to pay for customers and comforts that allow them to feel restored from their experience.

Private group tours piqued the interest of the group of experienced advisors who were on hand, as only eight travellers are required to guarantee a private group charter with no upfront payment requirements. The flexibility to choose your own dates and determine the nature of the groups is in the hands of the clients and the advisor. Dedicated group support is in place, as are multiple marketing resources, including any assistance required with presentations. What is a unique offering is that if the group doesn’t fill out at the minimum of eight passengers and it is booked on a fixed pre-set itinerary, the G team will do their best to help cover the shortfall and fill your group. Preferred private groups commission is also applicable.
